Job Summary

  • As a Paraplanner, you are responsible for maintaining ongoing communications with clients, meeting preparation, and creating financial plans in NaviPlan. In addition, you are responsible for overseeing & providing instruction for the financial services assistant in order to have some other administrative tasks completed relating to clients. You are required be extremely detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and able to prioritize and am also responsible for being proficient on all BFG software.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Attributes

  • Maintain contact with clients to answer general questions about financial planning and investment(s) and allocation
  • Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements
  • Gather all necessary information from the client so that a financial analysis can be completed
  • Prepare financial analyses for clients, including retirement analysis, estate planning analysis, education funding analysis, stock options analysis, and risk management needs analysis
  • All aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as preparation of meeting agendas, client paperwork, asset allocations
  • Post-client meeting tasks such as develop meeting notes, perform financial situation analyses, and coordinate planning implementation with other staff members and outside professionals as necessary
  • Review portfolios for cash needs and make recommendations for investing excess cash or liquidating for monthly distributions
  • Prepare expense analyses
  • Review cost basis and other account detail necessary for accurate reporting
  • Quarterly account reconciliation in CIR Statements needed to provide our clients an updated report
  • Trading
  • Act as backup for FSA or other areas
  • Train and work with FSA to determine work flow and training. Make sure to help with any issues that they may have


  • At least 1 year of financial services industry experience
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to seek out solutions and solve problems
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to cross train with other departments
  • Willingness and ability to learn and use new technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Salary is $40,000 annually with competitive benefits package.
