Kim Lillehaug has been serving clients in the financial service industry for nearly four decades. He began his career in December of 1980 at the CPA firm Gruys, Borden, Carlson doing extensive accounting, auditing and tax work. In 2003 Kim decided to break off from the accounting firm and start his own practice adding investment work to his extensive accounting background. In 2019, Kim decided to partner with Berger Financial Group and is very excited after working alone for so many years, to have the opportunity to collaborate and receive ongoing support for his business. He believes having a completed succession plan will allow him to have more flexibility with his schedule in the future.

Kim maintains his CFP^® certification as well as his CPA/PFS designation. He received an Associate of Arts degree from Willmar Community College in 1976 and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Cloud State University in 1980, majoring in Accounting.

When not in the office Kim enjoys golfing, fishing and poker. He also enjoys spending time with his wife outdoors especially walking and biking. He also loves trying different places to dine – especially in small town bars and restaurants.
