Principal, CCO

Mark Berger is a Principal of Berger Financial Group and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. With more than two decades of experience across financial planning, investment strategy, and tax-aware advisory work, Mark brings a broad and practical perspective to complex client decisions.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and IRS Enrolled Agent, Mark’s background bridges personal financial planning with advanced tax planning knowledge. His economics training at St. Olaf College also continues to inform his analytical approach to markets, planning, and long-term wealth strategy.

Throughout his career, Mark has been known for his educational style, strategic thinking, and ability to help clients connect the technical details of planning with the larger purpose behind their financial decisions. He has also worked with other financial advisors on continuity and succession planning, helping them prepare for the future of their practices while protecting the clients and families who depend on them.

Outside of work, Mark and his wife, Jess, have two children. He is especially interested in the accelerating pace of technological change, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and other innovations, and how these developments may affect the future of finance, business, and everyday life.
